Accessibility Statement

Open Door Digital is committed to making our own website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use. As a business whose work is accessibility audits, we hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of our clients.

1. Conformance target

This website is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

WCAG 2.2 AA is also the conformance level referenced by the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the EN 301 549 standard it is built on, so it is the same bar we apply when auditing client websites.

2. Measures we have taken

We aim to support accessibility through measures including:

• A logical heading structure (H1 → H2 → H3) with no skipped levels
• Sufficient colour contrast for text and interactive elements against their backgrounds
• A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen reader users
• Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
• Descriptive accessible names on links and buttons, including where visible text alone would be ambiguous
• Semantic landmarks (header, main, footer) on every page
• Form fields with associated labels and inline error messages announced to assistive technology
• Periodic internal review of new pages and features against WCAG 2.2 AA before release

3. Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, no website is perfectly accessible at all times. We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:

• Some third-party embedded content (for example, payment provider checkout flows) is outside our direct control and may not fully match our own accessibility standard.
• Older browser and assistive technology combinations may not support every technique we use (for example, some ARIA attributes); we test against current, widely used screen reader and browser pairings.
• PDF or document attachments linked from this site that were supplied by a third party may not be fully tagged for accessibility.

We review and update this statement as issues are identified and resolved.

4. How we test

We assess this website using a combination of automated scanning tools, manual keyboard-only navigation, and manual screen reader testing. We re-test pages whenever significant content or design changes are made.

5. Reporting an accessibility issue

If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of this website, or if you notice content that does not appear to meet WCAG 2.2 AA, please let us know. We treat accessibility reports as a priority and aim to acknowledge them promptly.

6. Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility complaint, you may be entitled to raise the matter with the relevant national enforcement body for the European Accessibility Act in your jurisdiction.
